Carlos' dance classes are dynamic and energetic and explore a variety of movements, rhythms and technics specific to traditional Mozambican dances.
In next workshop we will learn Xigubo dance and Afro-swing, which is a mix between swing dances from the 1930s and traditional Mozambican dances.
Carlos Machava is a dancer of the National Dance and Singing Company of Mozambique and the Hodi Maputo Afroswing Dance Company. He dances and teaches traditional dances of Mozambique, Afroswing and other pandzula dances, Afro House.

Gnawa music originated in the Maghreb from the cultural practices that Black African slaves brought with them. It is called Gnawa in Morocco, Diwan in Algeria, and Stambali in Tunisia and Libya.
Michelle Gagnaux
Classes offer insight into flamenco through rhythm and movement. They are based on warm-ups, feet techniques and arm movements, as well as rhythmic exercises using palmas and other percussion mediums. Linked steps are also taught at a level adapted to the children.

The đàn tranh, sixteen-string zither, is a traditional Vietnamese folk plucked instrument. It is in the same family as the Chinese guzheng, Japanese koto, Korean gayageum and Mongolian yatga. The T'rung is a traditional bamboo xylophone used by the ethnic minorities of the central highlands of Vietnam Tây nguyên.
